The New Light Job and Resource Center (NLJRC) is a facility offering a variety of services to former inmates residing in Forsyth County, NC and surrounding areas. The program's focus is to effectively identify and utilize resources for former inmates in the county in order to eliminate recidivism rates among low-income individuals and families in the area.
The mission of the New Light Job and Resource Center is to alleviate recidivism in Forsyth County by successfully re-establishing the ex-offender in the community through a network of agencies and programs and using a cost-sharing approach, deliver quality & value to companies to help transition qualified, certified ex-offenders into permanent jobs with good wages and benefits. Our services include needs assessment, counseling and referral, job placement, clothes closet, and client follow-up.
We are located at 1535 E. 15th Street in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and are a tax-exempt not-for-profit agency serving all of Forsyth County, NC.
